Prof. dr. Andrea Pilloni, MD, DDS, MS

Director of the Master's Program in Periodontology, Sapienza University of Rome.

He obtained his medical and dental degrees from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Between 1989 and 1992, he completed postgraduate training in periodontology and obtained a master's degree in oral biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is currently a full professor and head of the Periodontology Section of the Faculty of Dentistry, dean of the School of Dental Hygiene, and director of a three-year full-time specialization program in periodontology at Sapienza University of Rome.
He is an active member and member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Periodontology. He is an active member of the Wound Healing Society and an active member and board member of the Italian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. Since 1989, he has been involved in basic and clinical research on the use of hyaluronic acid and periodontal wound healing. He is the author of articles published in peer-reviewed journals and a book on GTR. He runs a private practice limited to periodontology in Rome, Italy. He is Board Certified in Periodontology by the Italian Society of Periodontology.
